Why pregnancy is the worst
Ok it’s not the worst thing ever, but pregnancy at least for ME felt so uncomfortable, I was so sick. I had stretch marks, couldn’t sleep at all, and peed my pants often. (TMI?!) BUT NOW that I am done being pregnant and have two little ones, I miss it. I miss the baby kicks, I miss the magic of wondering what the baby would be like, And when I see photos of myself pregnant I actually don’t think I looked as bad as I felt in my head. I also love being able to show my kids what I looked like when I was pregnant and my daughter asks to see “photos of when she was in my belly” often.
A lot of moms don’t want maternity photos done because they don’t feel good about their body, and I felt the same way! But maternity photos are such a beautiful way to commemorate this extremely special and magic time in your life.
I make it my priority to create a comfortable and supportive environment during photoshoots. It's about capturing authentic moments that reflect the joy and excitement of this special time. I am experienced in highlighting the unique beauty of each individual, ensuring that every mom-to-be feels confident and empowered in front of the camera. So even if you don’t feel like your badass self, I make sure to capture you in the gorgeous way that I see you.
You can also get maternity photos that don’t fit the mold of the typical maternity session. If you want to go to In n Out and get a session while eating a double-double you can! (any takers?!) It can be wearing sweats or jeans in the comfort of your own home! Maternity sessions don’t have to be a long flowy dress on a gorgeous beach. Although I love that too don’t get me wrong!
This is a time for you and your family to find something that feels like “you”. If you are pregnant and wanting some relief, let me tell you from experience that it will be over before you know it and you will be holding that perfect baby so soon. Love and light,
Laura Ellis
